Revolutions in the AI world: From Google's AI Mode to groundbreaking medical breakthroughs

Google introduces AI Mode in search: A new era of information search

Google is revolutionizing its search engine with the introduction of its new "AI Mode" – an experimental feature that could fundamentally change the way we search for information online. This innovation potentially marks the beginning of a new era in online search.

AI Mode, currently being tested in Google Search Labs, extends existing AI Overviews by integrating the advanced capabilities of Gemini 2.0. This combination allows users to ask more complex and multi-part questions while the system performs multiple thematically related searches in parallel.

What makes AI Mode special is that it offers a full page of AI-generated answers and allows you to delve deeper into a topic with follow-up questions. The results are not only presented more intelligently but also more diversely—a significant step beyond previous possibilities.

With the integration of Gemini 2.0, AI Overviews are now more effective at handling challenging tasks such as advanced mathematics, programming, and multimodal queries. The system can process text and visual information simultaneously, significantly improving the user experience.

I have already tried out this feature and shared my experience on LinkedIn – the intuitive operation and the depth of the information provided convinced me.
